THE TENNESSEE BLIZZARD OF 2008:

On March 8, for about four hours, we got out in the snow in Murfreesboro before it all melted away:

SCHOOL TOUR:

Andrew, on behalf of The DNJ, toured Emily and Sarah’s school, the Discovery School at Reeves-Rogers. Here’s a snap.

MASTER OF CEREMONIES:

Andrew did the honors at the annual awards luncheon of the United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties. Here’s a snap.

We took hundreds of photos. But here’s a sampler from the January trip:

OUR FAMILY’S TENNESSEE CHRISTMAS!

Although the Volunteer State is old stomping grounds for Andrew and Elise (20 years ago, we decked the halls when we lived in Knoxville), this season in Murfreesboro was the first time the whole family celebrated a Tennessee Christmas. Here’s a sampling of shots the eve and day:

EMILY IN THE NASHVILLE CHILDREN’S CHOIR

Emily was selected last fall as a member of the Preparatory Choir, one of several tiers within the Belmont University-affiliated organization. Here’s a shot of Emily aglow immediately after her group performed at the choir’s annual Christmas program in December.
